The long/wide 32°F bag measures 85 inches long and 33 inches wide, while the regular 20°F bag is 80 inches long and 31.5 inches wide. The long bag also offers a more generous footbox.

Temperature Ratings and Comfort

The 32°F bag's actual comfort range is closer to 40-45°F; below 45°F, additional layers are recommended. The 20°F bag's comfort range is lower but is much less forgiving.

Choosing the warmer bag with the intention of adding layers of clothing allowed me to save weight. The trade-off was that the bag would not be as warm as the one with a lower temperature rating

The Saros uses a synthetic fill, offering advantages like faster drying and better wet-weather performance compared to down. However, down bags tend to be lighter and pack down smaller for the same warmth.

Compression Bags and Additional Notes

The included compression bags are adequate but lack robust construction. The compression bag for the 20°F bag tore immediately. We opted for more durable sea to summit dry bags.
